I am a medical doctor, specialised in Public Health Medicine (consultant level), and an applied infectious diseases epidemiologist who have worked in humanitarian crises with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders in Amazonia-Brazil and Yemen.

What I do:

I'm currently using Bayesian spatial and serocatalytic models to investigate the global dynamics of arboviruses (focusing on Dengue and Chikungunya viruses). I am particularly interested in related public health interventions and developing methods to assess the impact they have.

What I do:

My research studies factors that shape infectious disease transmission through computational methods to inform public health policies. These include characteristics of the infectious disease agents, characteristics and changes in the host population, as well as interactions between multiple infectious agents.
