What do I do?

Innovating Protein Technologies for Therapeutic and Vaccine Design


Research Interests:

  • Platforms for vaccine development, which have been applied to SARS-CoV-2, influenza, malaria, HIV and range of veterinary diseases.
  • Protein therapeutics to target gastrointestinal tract infection and modulate the microbiome, using gastrobodies.

My research themes include study into the characterisation of inhibition of membrane transporters, by small molecules and systematically designed peptide drugs, from both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria involved in multi-drug efflux and essential lipid transport activity.
