Research

We are interested in the structural biology of medically-relevant proteins, including bacterial toxins (pertussis toxin, Shiga-like toxins), serpins (angiotensinogen, thyroxine- and corticosteroid-binding globulins) and enzymes mutated in inherited metabolic diseases (e.g. galactosylceramidase).  We also have a long-standing interest in developing new likelihood-based methods for macromolecular crystallography, in particular methods for solving structures by molecular replacement or single-wavelength anomalous diffraction.
