An Interdisciplinary Research Centre at the University of Cambridge

Cambridge Infectious Diseases is organising a career development workshop for Early Career Researchers. The workshop 'Exploring Career Pathways' aims to showcase career paths that a researcher with a PhD can take that are different from the traditional academic route. It will include talks by speakers working on industry, funding bodies, scientific communications, and academic research-related roles, followed by active discussions with the audience. There will be time for networking during the lunch and breaks, and a drinks reception at the end.

All of our speakers started their careers in research, doing a PhD, and then found their way into other roles. Although the event is directed to life-sciences backgrounds, everyone is welcome to join!

The event will take place on Friday 18th of October, from 11.00h to 17.30h, at the PostDoc Centre at Eddington (105 Eddington Pl, Cambridge CB3 1AS).
