Biography

I am currently working as part of the Peacock group looking at demonstrating the value of whole genome sequencing in clinical microbiology. We are currently using whole genome sequencing to track potential MRSA outbreaks looking at the SNP differences between collected samples. We are doing this in real time, sequencing positive MRSA samples as the clinical laboratory identifies them.
