Innovating Protein Technologies for Therapeutic and Vaccine Design

Research Interests:

• Platforms for vaccine development, which have been applied to SARS-CoV-2, influenza, malaria, HIV and range of veterinary diseases.
• Protein therapeutics to target gastrointestinal tract infection and modulate the microbiome, using gastrobodies.

• Drug-dependent inhibition of nucleotide hydrolysis in the heterodimeric ABC multidrug transporter PatAB from Streptococcus pneumoniae - Department of Pharmacology, University of Cambridge, UK
• Moenomycin A-based fluorescent probes label bacterial transglycosylases to enable imaging bacterial growth and division - in collaboration with the Department of Biological Chemistry, Academia Sinica, Taiwan
