Biography

Effrossyni Gkrania-Klotsas is a Consultant in infectious Diseases with an interest in primary and secondary immunodeficiencies and transplantation at Cambridge University Hospitals in Cambridge, UK.
She is a board certified practitioner of infectious diseases and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), a Fellow of St Edmund's college and an associate lecturer of the University of Cambridge.
She has conducted a PhD on the associations of chronic viral infections and cardiovascular disease, diabetes and mortality. She has additionally completed postgraduate studies in Public health as well as Medical Education and Medical Genomics. She is inviting collaborations from colleagues interested in hospital epidemiology, treating complex patients, novel diagnostics, emerging infectious diseases and clinical trials.

She is particularly interested in mentoring students, trainees and scientists starting their careers.

Research

Currently interested in the diverse clinical presentations of infections in immune deficiency, developing clinical standards and diagnostics for infections in immune deficiency and increasing awareness in AMR.

She is inviting collaborations from colleagues interested in hospital epidemiology, treating complex patients, novel diagnostics, emerging infectious diseases and clinical trials.

She is particularly interested in mentoring students, trainees and scientists starting their careers.
